Position Overview

The Associate Medical Analyst is a core member of the medical team at CB, supporting all disease, brand, and corporate initiatives for our clients. The analyst identifies and analyzes key medical resources to develop comprehensive data summaries, develops and maintains subject matter expertise, and regularly provides research and analysis updates for assigned areas. In addition, the analyst is an integral part of the new business capability and strategy at CB, keeping up-to-date on prospects, as well as supporting teams with medical downloads, competitive, clinical, and other analyses as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Identify sources of appropriate medical and scientific information for assigned projects
  • Produce clear, concise, and accurate summaries and analyses of available scientific, medical, and other data. Present overviews to internal and external audiences as needed
  • Maintain and implement internal operational best practices with respect to development of data summaries and analyses and their dissemination
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in assigned research areas
  • Review scientifically complex writing and communication deliverables for accuracy relative to available source data
  • Partner with members of the matrix team to ensure collaboration and best practices across each account
  • Partner with business development leads to maintain an up-to-date database of new business prospects, including pipeline, and corporate analyses
  • Support new business teams by providing medical landscapes, competitive overviews, and other analyses
  • Partner with digital teams in the use of clinical variables to support ID of patients with rare disease by becoming versed in the evolving healthcare data landscape and tools

Reporting & Team

  • Reports to the Director, Medical Strategy and Solutions

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Background in science or health-related field. Advanced degree and/or comparable experience preferred
  • Proven ability to identify and interpret a broad range of scientific literature
  • Ability to analyze and succinctly summarize complex data sets
  • Eager to learn new disease states and product portfolios and effectively, clearly, and concisely share that knowledge with non-scientific colleagues in both written and oral form
  • Creative thinker with demonstrated ability to identify and follow through on new, innovative analyses to answer questions and/or support hypotheses
  • Self-directed, goal-oriented, results-driven personality with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively through ambiguity
