Creative Intern (OAK).

Position Overview

The CB C.R.A.F.T Internship Program provides a unique learning opportunity for individuals interested in careers in the advertising industry. CB is seeking a bright, creative, and hard-working intern to support the creative team with their day-to-day art needs, new business pitches, and internal projects. The Creative Intern will report directly to the Art Director and also have the opportunity to work closely with the entire team including our talented copywriters, medical writers, digital groups and creative directors.

During the summer program, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the rare disease space. You will also assist with a range of projects that compliment your career interests, gain industry relevance and exposure to the organization, attend potential LULUs, and social events. Ultimately, CB interns will work closely with our C.R.A.F.T Department staff and will gain first-hand experience of the day-to-day of one of the leading advertising firms in the rare disease space.

Overview of C.R.A.F.T Department:

We at CB don’t have creative departments, we have C.R.A.F.T. It’s where hackers meet makers who then collaborate together in order to create, reach, activate, foster and transform. We at Cambridge BioMarketing have found that the path to exceeding our customer’s expectations sits at the intersection of data science and design. When these two disciplines come together we learn from each other’s art and therefore produce better outcomes both intellectually and aesthetically.


  • Demonstrate and strengthen your strong ideation and conceptual thinking that aligns with creative briefs
  • Assist in the design of a variety of projects including infographics, photo editing, logos, banner ads, emails and other various collateral layout. Think of these executions as being beneficial not only to our patients but to your portfolio.
  • Strengthen presentation skills by selling work internally, while demonstrating a thoughtful POV
  • Create work that demonstrates a strong sense of typography, layout and composition
  • Prepare files for print & web production
  • Ability to take direction and execute under strict deadlines while transitioning with multiple projects
  • Think creatively and love to learn and share ideas

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate program in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Portfolio reflecting experience in digital/interactive, branding, presentations, animation, illustration, and print design
  • Be a conceptual designer able to convey ideas and concepts through design
  • A strong portfolio is required
  • Great fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Basic animation and editing skills are a plus (Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro)
  • A conscientious approach to your work
  • Obsessive focus on quality, details, and consistency for the best overall results
  • Strategic thinking about the creative and effectively problem solves to generate innovative solutions
  • Strong prioritization skills and adaptation to change
  • Ability to take direction and execute under strict deadlines while transitioning with multiple projects
