Position Overview

The Group Account Supervisor has the ability and understanding to align both strategy and tactics with the overall brand vision. In addition, to be the diplomatic face of the brand, both internally and externally, the Group Account Supervisor accepts the role of manager, liaison, thinker and problem solver.

 Responsibilities 

  • Maintain key client contacts and relationships
  • Strategic planning and consultation with client(s)’ brand champion
  • Duality of being able to create underlying strategies for the brand, while rolling up your sleeves to execute large tactical initiatives
  • Lead a team and provide short-term and longer-range execution direction for product
  • Fully understand marketing channels and how and when they should be engaged
  • Interact with all team members of agency product team to ensure accurate information exchange and smooth flow of product work
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses of the account and make recommendations for change
  • Work with agency senior management to ensure that account is staffed appropriately to meet client needs
  • Develop scope of service and staffing plans and ensure appropriate support of the overall scope with account team leadership, creative services, operations, and finance
  • Establish and lead cross-functional team in support of client needs; monitor and manage team activity to ensure timely delivery of products and services to accounts
  • Oversee and manage all financial aspects of client relationship, including compliance to contracts/agreements, billings, receivables, etc.
  • Manage account finances, including budget, forecasts and income generation
  • Partner with creative team lead and execute the creative brief and all strategic initiatives
  • Possess the knowledge and professionalism to interact with key clients beyond the day-to-day (KOLs, reps, MLR)
  • Facilitate communication between team members and clients necessary to maintain strong relationships and effective account management
  • Attend all client meetings, market research, conventions, and communicate key learning to team and client
  • Actively participate in client presentations, selling and defending the agency’s point of view
  • Assist in new business activities and pitches as requested
  • Stay current with industry news and competitive environment to continually expand knowledge

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of medical marketing or healthcare agency management experience
  • Strong communication skills, excellent writing skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with client and agency team members
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comprehensive, strategic, and systematic thinker
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to anticipate needs, changes, and problems
