The group art supervisor (GAS) is the art lead on multiple accounts and is supported by a team of designers and art directors. This role maintains a holistic view of where accounts and brands are in their life cycle. The GAS assists in tactical and strategic execution and review, and is seen as a strategic partner along with senior leadership and the other department leads on the brands. This role is responsible for developing the careers and mentoring of the teams he/she manages. The GAS role works closely with the creative director to maintain and grow the department (eg, resourcing, morale, mentoring, bringing up issues or ideas to improve the teams). This role is a leadership position and a department advocate. The GAS supports the team she leads as well as senior leadership. Other responsibilities include developing, and presenting pitch creative as well as developing/maintaining client relationships.
Collaborate with other designers, copywriters, UX designers, and more across a variety of strategic branding projects in digital, print, and environmental spaces
Collaborate with strategy and medical to understand the foundational goals of the creative work. Weave these insights into your craft and presentations
Concept and execute compelling, human-centric marketing campaigns across disease and product spaces, for both patients and healthcare professionals
Deliver a wide range of options (within an existing brand or when fostering the growth of a new brand) for project layouts and design
Manage workload, both autonomously and collaboratively with your Creative Director and Delivery teammates, to achieve deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Take direction from Creative leads as well as internal teams to meet project goals and foster consistent brand growth
Continuously learning—about the disease state and/or products you work on, about best practices in your field and craft, about your coworkers and how best to partner with each discipline to create meaningful work
What we’re looking for:
BFA in graphic design or related field
5 years of agency or design shop experience
A portfolio showcasing client work
Both print and digital
New business pitch creative work
Launched a product or campaign
Translate complex data or ideas into sleek visuals
Expert in Adobe Creative Suite
Presentation skills in sharing your work in internal and client presentations
Successfully mentored a junior creative (directly or indirectly)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint
An understanding of design implications on development, responsive design, and UX best practices
A detail-oriented eye for craft and pixel-perfect design
An upbeat, team-first attitude and willingness to both learn and share your knowledge with others
Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
Self-directed, goal-oriented, results-driven personality with a commitment to continuous improvement
Healthcare and pharma experience
Knowledge of Adobe XD and InVision
Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3
Reporting and team:
Reports to Creative Director, or Group Creative Director
