Position Overview

The Account Supervisor leads the team(s) and day-to-day brand team clients in all aspects of the client-agency relationship.  He/she has the ability and understanding to align both strategy and tactics with the overall brand vision, present/sell high-quality deliverables, manage compliance with client contract and budget, and handle financial management and reporting.  Account Supervisors may supervise direct reports and are responsible for agency personnel management and development.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain key client contacts and relationships
  • Strategic planning and consultation with client(s)’ brand champion
  • Align both strategy and tactics with the overall brand vision
  • Lead a team and provide short-term and longer range execution direction for product
  • Execute large tactical initiatives
  • Interact with all team members of agency product team to ensure accurate information exchange and smooth flow of product work
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses of the account and make recommendations for change
  • Ensure that yearly reviews are performed on all team members
  • Work with agency senior management to ensure that account is staffed appropriately to meet client needs
  • Develop scope of service and staffing plan and ensure appropriate support of the overall scope with account team leadership, creative services, operations, and finance.
  • Establishes and leads cross-functional team in support of client needs; monitors and manages team activity to ensure timely delivery of products and services to accounts.
  • Oversees and manages all financial aspects of client relationship including compliance to contract/agreements, billings, receivables, etc
  • Manage account finances, including forecasts and income generation
  • Partners with creative team lead and to execute the creative brief and all strategic initiatives
  • Oversees relationships with other marketing partners of clients, as required
  • Facilitates communication between team members and clients necessary to maintain strong relationships and effective account management
  • Attends all client’s meetings, market research, conventions, and communicates key learning to team and client
  • Actively participates in client presentations, selling and defending the agency’s point of view
  • Assists in new business activities and pitches as requested
  • Stays current with industry news and competitive environment to continually expand knowledge

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of medical marketing or healthcare agency management experience
  • Strong communication skills, excellent writing skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with client and agency team members
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comprehensive, strategic, and systematic thinker
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to anticipate needs, changes, problems
