Position Overview

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for project oversight and day to day contact with the client. They have established brand expertise and are working on growing their management skills and strategic acumen.

Core Competencies

  • Day to day liaison between client and agency team
  • Project oversight
  • Weekly and monthly financial oversight
  • Potential management of AAE/AE


  • Oversee all projects
  • Create creative briefs for projects
  • Facilitate execution of tactical materials as aligned with tactical plan (partner with PM on project prioritization and flow throughout year)
  • Mentor the Account Coordinator in product finances
  • Review weekly and monthly finances and communicate key takeaways to supervisor
  • Maintain day-to-day contact with core product team members to ensure proper information flow from client to agency/agency to client
  • Attend client meetings and provide written summary/contact report of discussions, as needed
  • Attend primary review/review committee meetings as needed
  • Review projects for content and alignment to strategy, as well as within the context of core team/regulatory team reviews
  • Work with supervisor to write strategic documents to service the product’s needs/review supervisor’s strategic documents
  • Develop relationship with client departments (i.e., regulatory, production, editorial)
  • Review medical journals for product-related articles to be distributed with a summary of highlighted facts to agency and client product teams


  • 3-4 years previous experience in pharmaceutical advertising as an account executive
  • Effective communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
